Dr. Aliza Spruch-Feiner is a licensed clinical psychologist based in New York City. She maintains a private practice and co-leads a group practice, called The Sheppe Group. She specializes in psychodynamic and transference-focused psychotherapy (TFP), and works with adults and adolescents, as well as couples and families. Her clinical work addresses patterns in relationships, identity, emotion regulation, and personality functioning.

Dr. Spruch-Feiner earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the City College of New York, CUNY, where her doctoral research focused on personality, trauma, and clinical and interpersonal assessment. Her clinical training included positions at Lenox Hill Hospital’s inpatient unit and outpatient clinic, the Counseling Center at the Manhattan School of Music, the Mental Health Program at Silver Hill New York, and the Mount Sinai Health System’s Addictions Institute, Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders, World Trade Center Mental Health Program, and Adult Outpatient Clinic.

She has conducted and published research and delivered conference presentations on personality pathology, clinical assessment, and suicidality, and has taught students in psychology, neuroscience, and related fields.
